Our new 16-channel GPS-NX01 receiver works with the Astro-Physics GTO, Celestron NexStar, Losmandy Gemini, Meade 494/495/497/497EP Autostar, LX200 Classic, Orion Atlas/Sirius GoTo, Sky-Watcher SynScan, Vixen StarBook and StarBook Type-S (see telescope models).

StarGPS-NX is the "plug-and-play" solution for your Astro-Physics GTO, Celestron NexStar, Losmandy Gemini, Meade 494 Autostar, Meade 497/497EP Autostar, LX200 Classic, Orion Atlas/Sirius GoTo, Sky-Watcher SynScan, Vixen StarBook and StarBook Type-S. It includes a GPS-NX01 receiver and your choice of one adapter cable. No software is required since the GPS receiver outputs commands and data that the telescope already understands (see "Using StarGPS-NX"). Simply connect the GPS to your telescope, turn on the scope, and watch the GPS LED indicate:

power-on , location determined and setup complete .

StarGPS is designed for use with any 495/497 Autostar controlled telescope like the Meade LXD55/75, LX90 and ETX series. It includes a GPS-NX01 receiver, adapter cable, StarPatch software and serial cable. StarPatch uses your Windows PC to perform a one-time, quick and easy installation that reprograms the Autostar to accept GPS data (see "Using StarGPS"). You can then connect the GPS to your telescope, turn the scope on, and watch as the Autostar displays incoming GPS data (time, # satellites and signal strength as shown below). Once a location fix is obtained the Autostar will beep, display the results and skip ahead to the "Align:" prompt. If you already own a Garmin or Magellan GPS (with RS232 output) then you may prefer the StarGPS Handheld Package.

NOTE: StarPatch will not work with the new Autostar 497EP
(firmware versions begin with "5" or higher)
